Best eFootball manager 2026: choose by team playstyle proficiency
“Best eFootball manager” isn't one name — it's a rule the game writes itself: proficiency in your team's playstyle.
Every week players ask: who's the best manager right now? The honest answer is that “best” changes from team to team — because the game itself ties a manager's strength to your team's playstyle.
The rule, as the game writes it
On the game's team playstyle proficiency screen, every manager has a proficiency value for each of the six styles (Possession Game · Quick Counter · Long Ball Counter · Out Wide · Long Ball · Overload), and the game's text says this value will affect the players' abilities.
In practice: a manager who masters your style with a high value is worth more to you than a “bigger name” who rates lower in it.
An example from a player's screen
On a real player's screen: when he switched his team to a style his manager rates 89 instead of 57, team strength rose from 3091 to 3317.
Inference That's one example showing the direction, not a formula: Konami hasn't published the size of the effect in numbers, so nobody can tell you “each proficiency point = X” without inventing it.
How to choose your manager
- Know your team's playstyle — the one that fits your players (see the six team playstyles).
- Compare proficiency values in that style across the managers you own or are considering.
- Test it and watch team strength in the game itself before you judge.
Best Managers in Cptn PES
The Best Managers tool in the Smart Coach shows every manager read from the game screen — tap one to see his competencies and team playstyle, and whether he works with your players. On top sits a “🥇 best for your squad” list: the strongest managers who master your formation's style — and the screen itself says it's in our team's order, not an official Konami ranking.

And when you scan your squad with “⚡ Full scan”, the Smart Coach reads your manager too and suggests the best manager for your formation on your squad card.
